Caesars Circle

Privacy and terms

Plain English, because we're neighbors. Last updated September 27, 2026.

Who runs this

Caesars Circle alerts is a volunteer project run by neighbors on Caesars Circle in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is not a business, not an emergency service, not a security company, and not an HOA program unless and until the HOA adopts it. For now a neighbor on the street, Tiago, runs it. Reach him in the street's group chat.

It does not replace 911

This is a way for neighbors to tell each other about trouble. It is not monitored around the clock, and we do not promise that any alert will be sent, delivered, or read, or how fast. If anyone is in danger, call 911 first. Never confront anyone. Observe, call 911, then alert the street.

Who can sign up

Adults, 18 or older, who live on Caesars Circle. Every adult in a home who wants the alert can sign up.

What we collect

Your name, house number, and mobile number. Optionally your email, a second number to ring, the name you use in our GroupMe chat, the kinds of devices you have outside and their brands, and your answers to a few questions. If you link your GroupMe in the app, its user id, so the chat can tell it was you. If you turn on notifications, a delivery address for that device. On the street board, your votes and any ideas you add. During an alert, that your home sent it or answered it, and when. That is all. No location tracking, no access to your cameras, lights, locks, or home, ever, unless the street later chooses to add something and you opt in to it yourself.

How we use it

To call and text you emergency alerts once the system is live, to confirm that alerts come from real homes on this street, and to plan what comes next. Confirmed homes can open the street board, which shows which houses have signed up and street-wide device totals, never which house has what device. We never sell your information. Only the street's alert admins see your answers, and the only companies involved are the ones that host the site and send email and texts for us, unless the law requires otherwise.

Calls, texts, and notifications

By checking the consent box when you sign up, you agree to receive emergency alert and related service calls and texts from Caesars Circle at the number you gave, including a one-time code to verify the number and tests now and then (announced for everyone; early testers may get more). During an alert we call the number, up to three times about ninety seconds apart, until someone in your home answers, and, once texting is registered with the carriers, we text you. Calls, including the announced test, use an automated voice. Press 1 on the call, reply AWAKE, or tap the app to stop the calls for that alert. You can turn calls off in the app and keep texts and notifications. Message frequency varies and we expect it to be low. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of anything else. Your number and your consent are never shared with or sold to anyone for marketing.

Where it lives

In private storage on Vercel, a hosting company in the United States, that only the alert admins can open. New sign-ups are emailed to the admins. Calls, texts, and the verification code go through Twilio; notifications go through Apple's and Google's push services; chat posts go through GroupMe. We keep your information only while you are part of the program, and the alert log for one year.

Your choices

Ask Tiago in the group chat, or by text, to see, change, or delete what we hold about you. Deleting removes your sign-up, votes, and ideas. Reply STOP to any alert to stop texts.

Sending an alert

Only send an alert for a real emergency or genuinely suspicious activity. Describe what is happening, where, and when. Never describe anyone's race or looks, never guess who someone is, and never name another person or house. You are responsible for what you send. Every alert carries your name and house number and is logged, and only a confirmed home with a verified phone can send one. The siren, if the street ever adds one, sounds only after a second home confirms an alert, and switches itself off.

Misuse

A deliberate false alarm, harassment of anyone, targeting a person, or sharing another home's information gets that sign-up removed from alerts and the street board. The admins decide, and may remove anything posted on the board. Removal is not a punishment we discuss in the group chat.

No warranty, use at your own risk

This is provided as is, by volunteers, with no warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, the neighbors who run it are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage that comes from using it or relying on it, including alerts that are missed, late, or wrong.

Not for profit

Nobody makes money from this. There are no fees, no ads, nothing for sale, and your information is never sold or used for marketing. If the street ever decides to share a cost, such as a texting number, the street decides that together.
